When your electric Roller shutter has been installed there is no ongoing maintenance or costs.
Battery operated require recharging every month and a new replacement battery controllers costs $125.00 each.
The down side to standard electric, is they will not work if the power goes out.
The standard Somfy electric motor can be upgraded and supplied with a manual override system, which uses a crank handle to raise or lower the curtain when the power is out.
Upgrade is $320.00

Somfy electric motors will suit all OZRoll head box sizes, with a width greater than 600mm wide
OZRoll use Somfy electric motors, there are 6 different motors each has a different lifting capacity, ratted by Newton meters (Nm).
Please note: The Nm and square meter ratting below, relates to the Domestic slat that makes up the curtain, the weight of this curtain is 4.5 Kg per square meter, the Cyclone slat 6 Kg per square meter, Security slat 8 Kg and the Light Commercial slat 3.4 Kg.
